As she told many of us, “she was born in January and has been cold ever since.” She grew up in Grand Island and graduated from Grand Island Senior in 1950. After high school, she enjoyed working as a bookkeeper for several years.

Inez was united in marriage to Donald L. Rohrich on March 14, 1958, in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the Silver Bell Wedding Chapel. They lived in the Wood River area where the couple farmed until Don’s retirement in 1992. They lived on the farm until 2004, when they moved into the town of Wood River.

She was a member of the Wood River First United Methodist Church and the Wood River Legion Women’s Auxiliary. She was a member of the Saddle Club, the Liederkranz, and the Platt-Duetsche.

Her hobbies included playing Bridge, reading, fishing, and boating. She loved to shop or enjoy a good crossword puzzle.

They enjoyed many weekends at their cabin at Harlan Country Reservoir. Inez and Don liked to travel and attended numerous rallies as members of the Monaco Wannagos. They enjoyed many trips across the United States. One of their favorites was their trip to Alaska.

They enjoyed many winters in Mesa, Arizona, and made many close friends.

She loved to spoil her grandchildren and was incredibly proud of them. She was especially blessed to become a great-grandmother. She and Don enjoyed many motorhome trips with her grandchildren and their families. They loved attending their grandchildren’s sporting events and activities.

Inez and Don were long-time and generous supporters of the Wood River community, where they made many wonderful friendships and had fond memories.
